Since its inception in 2002, the Des Moines Marathon has provided a positive image of Des Moines as a place to live, work, and play, by offering race distances for all ages and abilities. Events include the IMT Des Moines Marathon & Half Marathon, Bankers Trust Marathon Relay, Principal 5K Road Race, and the Mercy One Children’s Hospital Kids Run.
It takes desire, determination and dedication to complete a running event of any distance. It also takes perseverance. IMT has been demonstrating these qualities in our everyday business since 1884. It is not a short race for us. It is a marathon!
